(Dan Tri) – Iran’s President warned Israel of a `painful reaction` if there is a move against Tehran’s interests, even the `smallest action`.

`We firmly state that any slightest action against Iran’s interests will certainly meet with a serious, widespread and painful reaction,` Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi announced on April 16.
President Raisi reiterated that Iran was acting in `self-defense`.
He also criticized some Western governments’ support for Israel.
Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Ali Bagheri Kani also warned that Israel would face a `resolute and tough response` if it took further action against Iran.
On the evening of April 13, Iran launched more than 300 missiles and drones in an unprecedented attack on Israeli territory.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced that they shot down most of Iran’s missiles and drones in the raid with the help of the US, UK, France, Jordan and other countries.
Israel’s war cabinet has met continuously for the past three days, when Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Defense Minister Yoav Gallant and former Defense Minister Benny Gantz continuously discussed plans to respond to Iran, while still avoiding danger.
A series of options were discussed during the cabinet meeting, Israel’s N12 News channel reported.
Meanwhile, Israel’s Mako news agency revealed that Prime Minister Netanyahu’s war cabinet has agreed to implement a number of action plans to respond to Iran.
According to Mako, Israel’s retaliation would need to be approved by the US and `comply` with the rules set by Washington, while also being calculated in a way that `does not turn into a region-wide war`.
White House National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan said the US is planning to impose new sanctions targeting Iran after the attack on Israel.
`Following Iran’s unprecedented airstrike against Israel, President Biden is coordinating with allies and partners, including the G7, and with bipartisan leaders in Congress, to mount a comprehensive response
