In the new trailer for Avengers: Endgame, the audience witnessed the face-off between Thor and Carol Danvers (after she returned to Earth in the mid-credits of Captain Marvel) in a short scene.
Unable to say anything else, Thor said that he liked Carol and turned around to laugh at Black Widow who was nearby.
On this occasion, let’s return to an old question: Can Captain Marvel lift Thor’s hammer?
In the comics, wielding the Mjolnir hammer sometimes depends on Odin’s spell/worthiness, the hammer wielder’s strength must be stronger than Odin’s or in a zero-gravity environment.
This story takes place during the Secret Wars event, when Doctor Doom possesses enormous power and is considered the God of the Marvel universe.
During this event, Captain Marvel became the leader of the Banshee Squadron pilot team in the Hala Field territory.
This suspicion is further increased when Carol’s superiors order her to destroy a ship believed to contain dangerous Ultrons.
As a result, Banshee members intentionally escaped their territory.
Believing Captain Marvel to be the source of the Banshee Squadron’s power, the Thor Corps chased Carol, unaware that she was trying to distract them.
Initially, Kit resisted Carol, but after her persuasion, Kit threw Mjolnir to Carol to redirect it, thus taking out all three nearby Thors, opening the way for Carol and the Banshee Squadron to escape.
Although this is just a fun story for reference, because comics are different from movies, but who knows, Thor and Captain Marvel will have a similar team-up to fight Thanos in Avengers: Endgame?
Avengers: Endgame is expected to hit theaters on May 3, 2019.
