(Dan Tri) – US President Joe Biden praised the bilateral relationship as `stronger than ever` when welcoming Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida on a state visit.

Speaking at the dinner on April 10, President Biden said the US and Japan will continue to be partners as the world continues to change, emphasizing his commitment to strengthening relations.
`Today there is no doubt that our alliance is truly stronger than ever,` Mr. Biden said at a dinner with Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida.
Mr. Biden said that the US and Japan `are at a turning point` and the two countries will continue to stand together.
`We are at a moment where the decisions we make now will determine the direction of the future for decades to come,` Mr. Biden added.
A series of agreements covering many important areas were announced within the framework of the bilateral meeting between Mr. Biden and Mr. Kishida.
`Together, we have made the relationship closer, stronger and more effective than ever before in history,` Mr. Biden said at an official welcoming ceremony for the Japanese prime minister.
The two leaders also detailed cooperation in the space sector at a time when Japan has signaled interest in sending astronauts to the Moon.
According to officials, some of the agreements include a joint artificial intelligence research initiative between Carnegie Mellon University and Keio University in Tokyo, as well as other artificial intelligence-related exchanges between the University of Washington and
President Biden acknowledged the `brutal` history between the US and Japan.
According to Mr. Biden, it will be very easy for the two countries to continue to be rivals considering their painful history.
