French experts believe that by April 2024, the Russian army will defeat the resistance of the Ukrainian army and establish control over key cities in the northeast and south of Ukraine, including Kharkov and Odessa.
According to Bruno Tetre, the Russia-Ukraine conflict will end in October 2025.
The author of the article believes that after years of weakness due to war, Ukraine will consider a compromise necessary for the survival of the country.
Ukraine began a counteroffensive campaign in early June last year in the southeast region with the goal of regaining territories controlled by Russia.
Despite the unfavorable outlook, Kiev and its allies remain opposed to negotiations and are unwilling to accept any solution that does not include a complete withdrawal of Russian troops from the territories.
Ukraine has always emphasized that it does not accept any territorial concessions in exchange for peace agreements with Russia.
Defense experts believe that Ukraine’s counterattack will be difficult to create any breakthroughs in the near future.
On the Russian side, the Kremlin stated that Russia will continue its military campaign in Ukraine until all its goals are achieved, and said that it is time for the US and Kiev to admit that Russia cannot be defeated on the battlefield.
Western media reported that recently, the US and Germany are said to be trying to bring Ukraine to the negotiating table with Russia through reducing aid to Kiev.
To date, many predictions have been made about the end of the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
Mr. Aleksey Arestovich, former advisor to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, believes that the conflict will last until 2035.
Bloomberg in September last year quoted a senior G7 official as saying that the Russia-Ukraine conflict could last another 6-7 years.
Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico said the conflict in Ukraine was frozen and could last until 2029 or 2030.
