(Dan Tri) – US Vice President Kamala Harris arrived at Noi Bai airport on the afternoon of August 26, ending a 3-day visit to Vietnam.

According to the schedule announced by the Office of the US Vice President, the Air Force Two plane carrying Vice President Kamala Harris left Vietnam at around 4:20 p.m. on August 26.
After leaving Vietnam, Ms. Harris will go to Honolulu, Hawaii.
In Hawaii, Ms. Harris will meet with soldiers at Pearl Harbor-Hickam military base.
Leaving Hawaii, the plane carrying the US Vice President will arrive in San Francisco, California.
During her visit lasting from August 25 to 26 in Vietnam, Ms. Harris had a series of official meetings and side activities.

At the press conference marking the end of his visit to Vietnam, the US Vice President gave a speech emphasizing the importance of bilateral relations and America’s commitments to Vietnam.
`We have a long-term commitment to this relationship, because this is an important relationship to the security and prosperity of the American people as well as the people of Vietnam,` Ms. Harris said.
`Now, we are strengthening our partnership. Together we will tackle traditional problems and challenges, and those of the future, and recognize within them the
Ms. Harris affirmed that the US will stand side by side with Vietnam against the Covid-19 pandemic, and continue to cooperate with high-level security to `support a strong, prosperous and independent Vietnam`.

Ms. Harris said that even in the context of a pandemic, the US and Vietnam will continue to work together to strengthen economic relations.
`The relationship we have with Vietnam is truly built on a foundation of understanding each other’s shared desire to strengthen the economic and security positions of both countries, as well as our capabilities.
On the first working day on August 25, Vice President Kamala Harris met with senior leaders of Vietnam.
During the visit, Vice President Kamala Harris announced the US donation of an additional million doses of Pfizer-BioNTech Covid-19 vaccine to Vietnam.
In total, to date, the US has donated 6 million doses of vaccine to Vietnam, including 5 million doses of Moderna vaccine donated under the COVAX mechanism.
